Lashanda Acres, Principal
I would like to welcome all our Blue Devil families back to school. I am very excited to be your principal for the second year at Manchester Middle School, and it is my hope that as the year progresses you will get to know your child’s teacher staff, the programs and the policies we offer at Manchester Middle. It is the goal of all our staff at MMS to work with you to create a rich learning environment for all students. Student success is a shared responsibility between the school teachers, staff, students and parents. I hope as parents/guardians that you will partner with us and become active participants in your child’s education. Education is a joint venture between school and home. As we work with our students to help them learn about the world around them through the College and Career Georgia Performance Standards, we very much appreciate the support that parents/guardians give their children at home as they strive to reach their learning goals. The foundation of a successful school is the cooperation between the students, staff, parents and community. Parents are a vital part of the MMS Community. Your contributions are invaluable to the school through volunteer time and support of school activities. I refer to the traditional African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child.” We look forward to working with you and developing a relationship that will assist in the growth of your child/children.
